With beautiful symmetry, our white Vitreous Enamel ceiling cups mirror the iconic gallery of our lampshades, both in size and shape. Made from the same high-grade steel and finished in matching white enamel, our ceiling cups are durable and electrically insulated. Lovers of the fine details, our ceiling cups ensure a sleek lighting design from ceiling to lampshade.

Brass lamp holders - Our signature brass lamp holder is designed to last for decades, just like our lampshades. Imprinted with “Coolicon” around the holder, this set is sure to place your shade centre stage.
Industrial lamp holders - These modern black plastic lamp holders pay homage to the traditional black Bakelite lamp holders from Coolicon’s industrial past.
Porcelain lamp holders - Our white porcelain fittings are modern, clean and simple; produced for the Standard Collection they pair elegantly with all of our shades.
Cable Type: With a natural sheen, our finely overbraided black fabric cable ensures your lampshade hangs with that extra touch of detail and class.

Coolicon® Lampshade Materials / Size / Weight
Our Large 1933 Design™ lampshade provides a greater ambient light into the room than the Original 1933 due to the lightbulb sitting slightly higher in the larger gallery opening. This design also allows for a wider and softer cone of light to be emitted below. Sharing the same visual language and proportions as the Original 1933 Design™ shade, this larger design shapes light differently to suit main room or statement lighting.

Cleaning Vitreous Enamel
Due to the glasslike Vitreous Enamel finish, the lampshade can easily be cleaned with a soft cloth.
For stubborn marks, a high-quality window/glass cleaner can be applied to the cloth then passed over the lampshade. Care should always be taken to avoid contact with the Coolicon badge.

Designed as a task light, the body of the shade focuses light onto the surface below, ideal for hanging above a dining room table. For those who dine in the kitchen, Coolicon’s durable heat-and-steam-resistant shades are easy to maintain and are guaranteed to be of life-long quality.
Form and function mean that a single Large 1933™ Design lampshade is a natural partner to the dining table. To create a statement centrepiece for guests to marvel over we recommend hanging a cluster of Original 1933™ Design shades. Hanging a single shade above a square or round table provides the dining room with a warm ambient light whilst the downlight provides a gentle cone of task light to illuminate your table.
For those with a longer table we recommend going linear with a trio of shades, one placed just short of either end and one centrally. Ambient up lighting once more gently fills the room whilst the downlight leaves you and your guests firmly focused on the feast, enjoy.

Coolicon® lampshades are built on strong foundations.
To ensure the strong durability and longevity of a Coolicon® lampshade we thoroughly prepare the shade prior to enamelling. We begin by de-greasing and etching the steel body of the lampshade, this allows a strong foundation for the enamel to grip and adhere to the steel shade.
The combination of the etched steel finish and the coarse enamel ground coat not only ensure the lifespan of a Coolicon® shade but also offer the protection needed for the tolls of the home.
Throughout our 15-step preparation and enamelling process we ensure that our lampshades have an ultra-tough durable finish to last a lifetime. The hard glass Vitreous Enamel coating is difficult to scratch and on the rare occasion the shade should become chipped, a minor chip will not lead to corrosion or compromise the safety of the lampshade.
