With beautiful symmetry, our white Vitreous Enamel ceiling cups mirror the iconic gallery of our lampshades, both in size and shape. Made from the same high-grade steel and finished in matching white enamel, our ceiling cups are durable and electrically insulated. Brass lamp holders - Our signature brass lamp holder is designed to last for decades, just like our lampshades. Imprinted with “Coolicon” around the holder, this set is sure to place your shade centre stage.

Coolicon® Lampshade Materials / Size / Weight
Our Large 1933 Design™ lampshade provides a greater ambient light into the room than the Original 1933 due to the lightbulb sitting slightly higher in the larger gallery opening. This design also allows for a wider and softer cone of light to be emitted below. Sharing the same visual language and proportions as the Original 1933 Design™ shade, this larger design shapes light differently to suit main room or statement lighting.

Cleaning Vitreous Enamel
Due to the glasslike Vitreous Enamel finish, the lampshade can easily be cleaned with a soft cloth.
For stubborn marks, a high-quality window/glass cleaner can be applied to the cloth then passed over the lampshade. Care should always be taken to avoid contact with the Coolicon badge.

Handmade in England with the same care and craftmanship first employed in 1933, Coolicon® lampshades come to life over a period of three days. Reflecting the skills of our artisans, each shade is a testament to the time-honoured skills utilised at every stage of production.
With many layers used to create our wonderful Fresh Teal colour, the repeated firing of the lampshade (once after each application) can lead to unique character marks within the enamel. Lovingly referred to as “freckles” by the Coolicon Lighting team, freckles are individual to every lampshade, just like people. During the final firings, as the oxides react in the glass to create the final enamel colour, freckles can form in small dark or light patches. This is a completely normal and natural occurrence during our enamelling process.
The Vitreous Enamel coating ensures that the shade will never rust – especially handy for shades hung in warm steamy kitchens. The finish also ensures that the colour will never fade, perfect for sunny south facing kitchen and conservatory extensions.
