To bring Arkose's signature aesthetic to life, Coolicon produced a bespoke purple vitreous enamel finish, colour matched to the brand's existing palette. This custom shade sits at the heart of each project, demonstrating how heritage lighting can be reimagined for contemporary interiors.

When Arkose sought a lighting solution that could reflect their brand identity while complementing the raw material palette of their climbing lofts and canteens, Coolicon’s heritage enamel lampshades offered a natural synergy. The bespoke shades sit seamlessly within Arkose’s design scheme. Their glossy purple enamel introduces a vibrant accent that contrasts beautifully with exposed timber, chalked climbing walls and polished concrete. Adding a striking contrast to Arkose’s raw materials and athletic atmosphere, while still feeling harmonious within the brand’s visual identity. It is a colour that energises the space without overpowering it.

The bespoke purple shade created especially for Arkose is milled and crafted by hand using vitreous enamel, a premium finish that offers exceptional colour depth and durability. Unlike paint or powder coatings, vitreous enamel is fused at high temperatures, creating a surface that is; highly reflective - amplifying light within the space; rich in tone, from natural minerals and oxides, giving the lampshade a depth of colour that paint cannot replicate; and highly durable making Coolicon lampshades particularly well-suited to high-traffic leisure and hospitality environments.
