To remove wax residues from the brass holder, submerge it in hot water until the wax melts and separates from the brass. 

Once the water cools down to room temperature, remove the brass holder, wipe with a clean cloth and return on the candle sconce. 

Do not leave the brass components in the water for extended periods of time. Discard the hardened wax responsibly. 

Apply brass polish if desired.
